The Sandbox virtual space is divided into 166,464 land parcels called LANDs. Each of them represents a NFT. Some of them can be purchased in the open market, but not all of them - if the owner of the LAND has no intention of selling the plot, it is impossible to buy it for any money.
These are the plots of land that players move around on. A couple more features:
- Several LANDs can be combined into an ESTATE - a zone with certain rules, which can be conventionally thought of as a small town with a ruling government there.

SAND - the Sandbox's token
SAND, the cryptocurrency of the meta-universe, functions on the Ethereum blockchain, the reliability and security of which has been proven over time. It plays a crucial role and is used for committing any action that requires changes to the blockchain, for example:
- creating an avatar;
